ACNC Legislation Review

The Government has released a report responding to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Legislation review performed in 2018.

In reiterating its aim to ensure the sector meets community expectations when it comes to transparency, accountability and good governance, the Government has agreed with 60% of the recommendations proposed. Such recommendations are focused around three key areas; reducing red tape for charities, strengthening trust and confidence in the sector and supporting the ACNC as an effective regulator.
